The Nellie Mae Education Foundation’s
Research and Development Initiative
reflects our commitment to building and
deepening knowledge regarding the work
of transforming education. To forward
this effort, we support projects that: |
-
Gather and
synthesize existing
knowledge
regarding
student-centered
approaches to learning
from a variety of
fields;
-
Develop new
knowledge in
emerging areas of
practice, system change,
policy, and community
engagement through
research and evaluation;
and
-
Identify needed
tools for
student-centered
teaching, learning, and
assessment, and support
development of new tools
as needed.
|
|
We work with partners in the field,
including other private and public
funders, to build a network of
researchers as well as share the results
of this knowledge development work with
a wide variety of stakeholders.
