Piloting Extended Learning Opportunities in NH high schools

Students at four New Hampshire high schools will soon be able to earn course credit for structured learning outside the walls of the traditional high school classroom thanks to a $1 million grant from the Nellie Mae Education Foundation. This ground-breaking initiative is the first of its kind in the nation.

Nicholas C. Donohue, President and CEO of the Nellie Mae Education Foundation, was appointed by Massachusetts Governor Deval Patrick to co-chair the MCAS and Assessments subcommittee of the Commonwealth Readiness Project Leadership Council. He will chair the subcommittee with Paul Reville, Chair of the Board of Education and President of the Rennie Center for Education Research and Policy.
